MO Bejaia Claim Their First Arab Volleyball Cup

The Michaal of Bejaia volleyball club have snatched the Arab Clubs Cup trophy after defeating the Qatari al-Rayan 3-2 in a thrilling final in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

The MOB claimed the first set (25-17), but the Qatari club won the second and the third set in a row (25-23 and 25-18).
The suspense was maintained in the fourth set, as Bejaia players managed to secure it 27-25, and forced the game to the ultimate tie-break set.
Breaths were taken away for about a quarter an hour, and the MOB did the essential, as Mohamed Chikhi and Yacine Hakmi were present in blocks and striking, and lead the team won the final set 17-15, and thus claimed their first Arab trophy since it was first played in 1978.
MOB made it to the final after defeating land owner al-Anwar of Lebanon 3-0, while al-Rayane eliminated al-Ahly of Saudi Arabia in the semi final (3-1).
The third spot was secured by al-Ahly who defeated al-Anwar 3-2.
