Mohamed Aissa: “Enforcement of the ‘e-draw’ for next Hajj season”

The Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments announced from the city of Oran (western Algeria) that the draw for the next Hajj or pilgrimage season will be carried out electronically to ensure the total fairness and transparency of the operation.

He said that this process of “e-lottery” is part of the modernization of the sector, adding that a prayer for the absent will be performed in all mosques of the country for the 50 Algerian pilgrims who died in the latest hajj rituals in the holy places of Islam of Mecca and Medina.

The minister made such an announcement during the opening session of a seminar on mutual aid and social solidarity stemming from the life of the holy Prophet of Islam Mohamed, God’s peace and blessings be upon him (PBUH).

In addition, Mr Mohamed Aissa said that the celebration of the birth of the noble Prophet is an opportunity for everyone to learn from his lofty life in our behaviors and in charity work, love, mutual assistance, tolerance and hygiene in the home, the street and in everyday life.

And therefore, the feast of “Mawlid Ennabaoui Echarif” expresses a great and deep love for the venerated Prophet Mohamed (PBUH), and is a legacy to the society based on the virtuous conduct, the rigorous religious morality and deep spirituality of the lofty “Seal of Islam”, and these high values have become a paramount reference for the Algerian society in particular and the Muslim world in general.

Meanwhile, the religious affairs Minister chaired the launching of the celebrations of “Mawlid Ennabaoui Echarif” at the mosque Ben Badis and the Belkaïdia Zaouia which staged new competitions for the best reciters of the holy Koran as well as a series of lectures to be given by Muslim academics from several Arab countries in various mosques from 22nd to 31st of December 2015.
