Mohammed Raouraoua: First Algerian to be elected to the FIFA Executive Board
The Chairman of the Algerian Football Federation Mohammed Raouraoua was elected with a large majority in the FIFA Executive Board in the elections that took place yesterday in Khartoum, Sudan, in the sidelines of the 33rd General Assembly of the African Football Confederation (CAF).
- Raouraoua secured 39 voices followed by the Ivorian Jack Anouma with 35 voices, then Sikito Battle from Seychelles 12 voices, the South African Jordaan with 10 voices and at last the Nigerian Ibrahim Galadeima with 5 voices.
- Mohammed Raouraoua becomes the first Algerian personality to hold a position in the supreme football institution ever.
- Raouraoua “crushes” his opponents
- Mohammed Raouraoua strikes his name in gold fro being the first Algerian personality to join the FIFA’s Executive Board with a sweeping victory outrunning his fellow African opponents like the Ivorian Jack Anouma and the South African Jordaan, the chairman of the Organizing Committee of the first African World Cup in South Africa.
- He became also the third Arab personality to sit in the FIFA’s Executive Board after the Egyptian Hani Abu Rida and the Qatari Mohamed Ben Hammam, the Chairman of the Asian Football Association.
- Raouraou’s achievement comes to crown the tremendous work he has done in the African Football Union.

- Echourok newspaper was 100% sure about the election of the Algerian representative and the Ivorian in the FIFA’s Executive Board on account of his good reputation among most of the continental institutions.
