National Campaign to Boycott Meat to start from 10 to 16 July

The National Federation of the Associations of Protecting the Consumer announced on the first national campaign to boycott meat of various kinds and will extend from 10 to 16 July, in order to put an end to the unjustified increase of meat that are no longer accessible to the simple citizen.

The authorities called for the need to control the barons of cattle to protect the prices of meat, which is necessary for Algerians in the holy month of Ramadan, especially as this product noticed a rise in the price and demand, and this is what it should not happen in this year’s Ramadan, according to Zaki Hariz, who also revealed that the campaign to boycott meat will promote it through a National Convoy for Consumer, which starts here on Thursday from the capital, heading to more than 20 cities to sensitize more than 50.000 citizens and learn them what is the right consumption culture that starts from the economy of consumption and spending.

The spokesman said that this convoy will reach the markets, commercial centers and beaches, to sensitize the largest possible number of citizens, through presenting lectures and competitions about the good consumption, in addition to the distribution of the consumer’s guide, the convoy will be organized in coordination between consumer protection associations and the Algerian Islamic Scouts scouts, and a number of “good people”, who are active in Facebook, ‭as this convoy will extend from July 4 to the end of the summer season. ‬
