National Council of Family and Women ordinary session opens

ALGIERS- The ordinary session of the National Council of Family and Women (CNFF) opened Sunday in Algiers with the presentation of the draft national strategy for family.

The Annual Action Programme of the council will also be on the menu of this two-day meeting which will be attended by MPs and representatives of several sectors, organizations and civil society.

Participants will discuss four themes, namely “the Algerian family and new challenges”, “the social and economic rights of women and sustainable development”, “participation of women in politics and the fight against prejudice” and “cultural rights of women and the role of media.”
