National Police Director General insists on the respect of the human dignity

The Director General of the National Police Abdelgahni Hamel has, once again, warned the security forces from using violence against the protesters be it physical or moral, in insisting on the total respect of citizens’ dignity

• He has recalled that the ultimate task of the security forces was to protect and safeguard the citizens’ security and dignity, pledging to apply coercive sanctions against those who mire the reputation of the security body.

• A morally irreproachable police officer is part of the fight against criminality, the Director General added.

• Addressing the officers on the sidelines of the ceremony for the celebration of the 50^th anniversary of the National Police Day with the presence of the interior minister Dahou Oueld Kablia and a number of the cabinet members, Abdelghani Hamel put the focus on the necessity to abide by a moral code during when dealing with the citizens.

• The Director General pledged to foster the social and professional conditions of the security elements with the aim to help them carry out their duties appropriately and away from all types of pressure.
