Nedjma the Most Profitable Unit of Qtel, CEO

CEO of Chief Executive Officer of Nedjma mobile-phone company said the latter has exceeded 8 million subscribers in the current year, becoming the most profitable unit of the Qatari giant Qtel.

 

Mr Joseph Ged said Nedjma has been making interesting profits since 2010, overcoming thus the hard times it was going through, during the first years service in the North African mobile phone market. 

“We have managed collecting $383.8 million revenues in the first half of 2011, comparing to $282.1 million in the same period of 2010,” Mr Ged said, adding that “such figures have made of Nedjma the corner stone unit in the Qatari Qtel mother company, as it represents 9 percent of Qtel’s revenues.”

He further specified that Nedjma is set to increase its investments in the Algerian market, noting that the revenues growth rate of the company hit 36 percent comparing to the same period in 2010, and that the company collected a net revenue of $148.7 million in the first half of 2011, or a 42 percent growth comparing to last year’s same period.
