Parents call on health authorities to launch a campaign against lice at schools

Several parents have complained about the spread of lice in the various educational institutions and day-care centers and called on the health ministry to launch a campaign to eradicate this epidemic.

• For his part, the professor Khiati has warned against the resurgence of typhus in case where the epidemic is stopped on due time.

• The parents have expressed their worries over these last few days especially that the phenomenon was witnessed in various schools located in upscale compounds of Algiers. They have blamed the principals for not taking appropriate actions to curb the epidemic.

• A lady has declared to Echourouk that she was forced to put a scarf on the head of her 7 year old girl to fend off any contamination, while another one has complained over the high cost of the lotion care.

• She has indicated that she treats her girl on daily basis but, it is not enough because the whole school is contaminated.
