Parliament excluded the possibility of forming an investigating commission to probe leaking topics of the Baccalureate 2016 exam. “There are no important national events which deserve the establishment of an investigation commission,” said Said Lakhdari, Parliament’s vice-speaker.

This comes as members of Parliament called for investigation in many issues such as the Ghardaia events, shale gas, corruption cases and Baccalureate 2016 leaks.

In a conference, vice-speaker gave figures about all the actions led by Parliament. Deputies discussed 43 draft bills. A total of 42 of them were passed. In 2013, the government withdrew a law on rules related to telecoms although it was discussed. Members of Parliament made 896 amendments and 2,978 presentations.

The number of hearing sessions with ministers and officials reached 99. A total of 21 parliamentary days were organized and 21 inspection visits were paid in many provinces. A total of 103 ambassadors and 53 foreign delegations were received.
