Party leader to launch an initiative for radical change

The leader of the National Front for Change Abdelmadjid Menacera has announced that his movement has launched two initiatives with the view to withdrawing the current political reforms and start “genuine” ones

• The spokesman of the movement has called the Islamic party “ Homs” to withdraw from the presidential alliance as a precondition to take part to this initiative.

•  

•  Talking yesterday at a press conference here in Algiers, Menacera has revealed that the first initiative consists in colleting 1 million signatures from citizens that he billed “ millionth popular reform”.

• He seized this opportunity to declare “ If the authorities allow us to stage a millionth rally we would have done it, but we have to limit to a millionth signatures “

•  

• The second initiative consists in the creation of  a political force for a democratic and peaceful change that comprises all parties that believe in change outside the alliance.

•  

• M Menacera has called on the president Bouteflika to end the mission of the current cabinet and appoint a neutral and technocratic one whose main task is to organize elections that meet the international standards.

•  

• The leader of the movement has slammed some political figures who have recently declared that the Islamic movements have a slight chance to take power during the 2012 elections.
