Pictures Exposed the Ugly Reality of University Residences

A number of students caught horrible pictures using their mobile phones in some university residences, not far from Algiers, but from the National Office of Academic Services, revealed by some of the images obtained by Echorouk, and which show the ugly situation of university restaurants.

Other pictures reveal the disgusting situation of toilets within the university residences, such as”Al Alia” residence east of Algiers, as a picture shows some students using “umbrellas” to enter to the toilet so as to avoid the waste that drip from upstairs toilets.

Another picture shows students using plastic bags to fill the gaps of the ceiling, and the scene is repeated more than once, suggesting that this situation exists in more than one university residence.

Other pictures show men throwing bread on the tables before it becomes a meal for students in university residences, while iron dishes that carry the meals of students are thrown to the ground just as a waste, before it turns back to dishes ready for delivering meals.

On the other hand, a number of students organizations denounced the bad conditions in the university residences across the different wilayas, and turned into a “detentions”, as some of them noticed workshops of maintenance without end. Students assert that what happened in Telemcen (west of Algeria) may be repeated in any other university residence.
