Pitch to determine winner in Algeria vs Egypt match, says Platini

“Egypt has won the African Champion league twice and qualification will be difficult for both teams, but at the end the pitch will determine the winner,” Michel Platini told Echorouk in an interview in Doha.

He said he is ready to discuss the situation of the Algerian football at the UEFA if a comprehensive political decision is issued.

Speaking on the 1982 World Cup in Spain, Platini believes the only solution for Austria and West Germany for qualification was making arrangement beforehand.
