Political parties blame the government for the recent events
The Movement for Society of Peace party has criticised the black out imposed on the political parties by the major media, while Anahdha movement has called for an open dialogue with the political parties; for his part the leader of the Algerian National Front Moussa Touati has blamed the government for the recent violence.
- Unlike the coalition parties, the spokesman of the Movement for society of Peace Mohammed Djemaa denounced the lack of political dialogue blaming the absence of the parties’ activities on the major media, which pushed the authorities to deal with unknown parties during the recent upheavals “because those youngsters who took to the streets were not structured by neither unions nor parties”.

- The leader of Anahdha party Fateh Rebiei has indicated that the series of protests that spread over various parts of the country, were “the outcome of the marginalization of the political parties and their total absence on the major media”, noting that “ the recent social turbulences were preceded by political and media slip-ups” ; However, the movement has called for peaceful protests and denounced acts of vandalism.
- The spokesman of the National Liberation Front ( FLN) Kassa Aissa has declined to pronounce on the recent events arguing that his party is collecting information to get a clearer view about the situation” we are about to meet today and we will release a final statement about the recent events”, he said.
