Political parties in a rat- race to get accreditations
Though not accredited yet by the interior ministry, several political parties entered a rat-race to organize their general assemblies by the end of January with the move to take part to the upcoming legislative elections.

The founders of the party of Justice and Development chaired by Abdellah Djabellah is currently setting up the local and regional committees after receiving positive signs from the interior ministry suggesting that the party will get the green light soon.

The members are due to organize a series of meetings by January pending the general assembly to announce officially the creation of the party.

The leader of the New Algerian Front party Djamel Ben Abdesslem has submitted his dossier for the approval of his party last November and considers the latest address giving by the president Bouteflika a strong signal toward the liberalisation of the political scene in Algeria.
