President Bouteflika Appointed New Leaders of Infantry Troops, Weapons' Academy

President Abdelaziz Bouteflika launched a significant movement in the most important military institutions, including the leadership of the military regions, and one of the most important schools and it comes to the Military Academy of the various weapons in Cherchel located in the first military region, in the context of the annual periodic efforts to activate the role of the National People’s Army, and to confirm the political will aiming to support the strategy of security and defense, that was applied days ago and work on updating the security plans to make them adapt to changes in the national arena, in light of the improving security situation.

In this context President Bouteflika signed seven presidential decrees, relating to terminating functions and appointments in high positions of the military institution, as the first presidential decree included ending tasks of the Major General Abdelghani Malti, in his capacity as commander of the Military Academy of the various weapons in Cherchel, while the President signed a decree that appointed the ‭Maj.Gen Malti as head ‭of the marine Academy, and was replaced by Ali Sidane, as head of Cherchel military academy.

It seems that the movement made ​​by President Bouteflika on the leadership of the fourth military region, is directly related to changes in the security situation and stability of the region in light of threats taking place in the border region of about 1000 km with Libya, which has become unsafe due to the spread of the Libyan ‭weapons which formed a source of ‭concern ‭to Algeria, which expressed it in ‭many platforms since the outbreak of the revolution in Libya.

In the same context, and in another presidential decree, president last ended functions of the Brigadier Hassan Allaymia, in his capacity as Chief of Staff of the fourth military region, and was replaced by the Colonel Abdel Wahab Cherabria.
