President Tebboune: “Fruits Of Myriad National Achievements Across The Country”

The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, affirmed on Tuesday that the achievements made by Algeria in recent years on various fronts, embodying economic and social policies whose fruits and features appear daily across the country’s regions, expressing his satisfaction with the welcome received by various new projects among the Algerian people.

In a message addressed on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the General Union of Algerian Workers -UGTA- and the 55th anniversary of the nationalization of hydrocarbons, read out by Prime Minister Sifi Ghreib during his supervision of the ceremonies commemorating this double anniversary in Oran province, western Algeria, the President of the Republic Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune  expressed “sincere appreciation to all women and men who are dedicated to  achieving major projects,” noting that “the achievements put into service over recent years, those under construction, and others listed on the agenda of projects close to launch, are nothing but proof of their confidence in the path Algeria is taking, and all of this is merely an embodiment of economic and social policies whose fruits and features appear daily across the country’s regions.”

In this regard, the President of the Republic expressed his satisfaction with the welcome received by various new projects, stating: “When we all collectively observe, deep within our beloved homeland and among the noble Algerian people, the feelings of welcome and celebration that were most clearly manifested on the occasion of the inauguration of the Western Mining Railway line, which, along with other structural projects with local and national dimensions, confirms that current national policies are based on the criteria of feasibility and realism, and on sound sovereign political decision-making.”

The President of the Republic further clarified that this orientation “expresses the victorious doctrine of the New Algeria, a doctrine closely linked to the November reference and the legacy of the blessed liberation revolution, and a pragmatic doctrine to the furthest extent in building bridges of cooperation and partnership with everyone, and on all continents, based on mutual interests and benefits.”

Regarding the nationalization of hydrocarbons, the President of the Republic emphasized the importance of the anniversary that enshrined a “decisive historical sovereign decision,” noting that “thanks to their efforts, we have been able to double commercial energy production, so today we are the seventh largest gas exporter in the world and the third supplier to the European market, and we possess the third largest oil reserves in Africa.”

On this occasion, the President of the Republic Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune also hailed the efforts and mobilization of workers and executives “with the same spirit that their predecessors possessed in this stage where we are working to consecrate the value of effort and work as a driver for sustainable development paths in the country, and where we seek to encourage competencies, especially among our young people, for more technical excellence and mastery of technology.”

At the end of his message, the President of the Republic finally reiterated “greetings to all workers on the occasion of the founding anniversary of the General Union of Algerian Workers, and to all managers, executives, female and male workers in the hydrocarbon sector as they continue the path drawn by their predecessors after the announcement of the decision to nationalize hydrocarbons, drawing from the challenge they faced then, the strength and determination to develop the sector and enhance its capabilities.”
