Presidential Elections 2014: Compatibility candidate hit the political class
FLN ruled the idea of joining the consultations which were launched by the political parties to choose a consensus candidate for the presidential elections, claiming that FLN has enough officials and cannot “ask it” from othr parties.
Labor Party thinks that the consensus candidate is incompatible with democracy; because he does not take into account the positions and programs of other parties.
While Political Parties launched consultations, even if they are modest in anticipation of the coming presidential elections, in order to agree on a single candidate who brings together all the political class, under one goal, which is consideration of the country’s interests, other parties opposed the idea of a consensus candidate, including the old party which, despite it enters into conflicts that scattered its ranks, but it still retains the same policy and strategy in dealing with the important electoral dates, and considers to some extent that the consultations on a consensus candidate does not mean him much, claiming that he has adequate officials who can contest the presidential elections’ race, if the President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika will not run for another term.
Some parties, including MSP which put in mind intensifying the consultations with the political parties, to unify perceptions and attitudes regarding the coming elections, and to include parties in power, as well as the opposition alike, claiming that they are all national parties, as this idea was approved by the leader of the Front for Change Abdelmadjid Menasra, as well as the new leader of the New Front of Algeria, Djamal Ben Abessalam, as they see that granting the Potential candidate for elections a specific ideology cover does not serve the next stages that the country is initiating.
