Protesters besiege Health Ministry, Ziari flies to Switzerland

Protests and marches continued in most institutions for the third consecutive week, as employees of the sector joined the protest that was organised by the Syndicate of Health Professionals that includes the National Syndicate of Public Health Practitioners, Syndicate of Public Specialists and the Algerian Syndicate of Psychologists and Professors of Paramedical education, as well as the common sectors, calking for responding to their demands, and expressing rejection to the Minister’s position who refused to reconsider the basic law that is one of the key demands for the syndicate, in addition to  demanding the generalisation of the grant of infection and permanence for all employees.

Protesters demanded better professional and social conditions for the employees of this sector, according the Head of the National Syndicate Public Health Practitioners, Lyas Merabet, who asserted that the sector’s employees are stuck to continue protesting if the minister refused to dialogue with syndicates that did not receive official invitation from the ministry to settle the situation that is getting worse every day in hospitals.
