Publishers dissatisfied with Algeria book fair

Publishers at the 13th edition of Algeria’s International book fair showed dissatisfaction over the decision to limit the number of copies per title to 100 for each.

• Syrian, Egyptian and Lebanese publishers Wednesday said they were considering issuing a statement to denounce the way fair organizers dealt with them.

• A total of 45 Egyptian publishers have cancelled their participation in the fair because of fret problems.

• The 13th edition of Algeria’s International book fair witnessed some problems such as fret and delay of books arrival.

• Publishers’ representatives raised the problem of extra books seized by organizers, saying that they learnt about the limitation on their way to Algeria.
