Rached Ghannouchi to Echorouk: “Algeria has a pivotal role in the strategic equation”

Tunis- The visit to Algeria and meeting with the President Abdelaziz Bouteflika aims to discuss the series of talks between the political class and observers of the Tunisian street, Rached Ghannouchi told Echorouk.

On the sidelines of a meeting between candidates of coalition parties to the Constituent Assembly, Mr. Ghennouchi added that he met with the Algerian President Abdelaziz Boutzeflika and PM Ahmed Ouyahia, and assured them about the situation and political scene in Tunisia, asserting that there should be no “FIS” experience in Tunisia.

“My visit to Algeria aims to tighten the fraternal ties with my brothers in this country. Algeria is our neighbor country which has a pivotal role in the strategic and regional equations. We have sent invitations to more than 20 presidents and governments, including Algeria, which is important for the Tunisian people, in order to attend the inauguration ceremony of the three authorities in the next few days”, he added.

At this time, the Tunisian media issued reading analysis on the main rules of Annahda (renaissance) Party, as an Islamic party which would lead the country soon.

A study by a researcher on the Islamic Groups, Oulfa Youssef, published in Tunis, said; “We fear some leaders of Nahda Party will violent rules in order to create a modecivil state with a moderate religious reference”.
