Representative of Air France in Algeria
Air France announced Wednesday the opening of two new airlines, starting from Algiers, the first towards Paris and the second towards Marseille on March 29.

The two new airlines will bring the number of the weekly flights to 28 towards Paris with four flights per day instead of three; however the number of the flights towards Marseille will reach seven, one flight per day.

“The decision to open two additional flights came after we noticed a rise in the number of travellers from France to Algeria with the volume of 12.4%, and particularly from Paris to Algiers with 33%. Algerians who prefer to change from Paris are representing 50% of the total Algerian passengers who choose “Air France”. Our company sells 2000 electronic tickets out of 67450 reservations annually in Algeria”, John François Fouguot, the Regional Manager of Air France in Algeria said in a press conference in Sofitel, Algiers.

As to the impact of the global financial crisis, the representative of “Air France” in Algeria confirmed, “The sales of our company declined by 3% at the global level, however it rose by 9% in Algeria”.
