Retired Gen, Candidate for Presidential Elections, Mohamed Taher: Saadani’s accusations against Gen. Toufik pave the way for foreign intervention

Statements of Amar Saadani against the Gen. Mohamed Medine raised controversy. What is your comment?

 Statements of this person, who I do not like to name, fall in the category of treason because he asked  for foreign interference with one way or another, he repeated what was said by foreign countries about Algeria for a long time. It is no different from Kamal Fakhar’s allegations, who called for an international protection for a part of our people in Ghardaia (southern Algeria). These statements do not come in the non stability phase that we are going through and through which we do not hardly discern our country’s future. In these circumstances, in particular, this person comes and attacks the only institution that is capable of unifying institutions of the state; this is a precedent that did occur neither in the democratic, nor in the non-democratic word.

Some people said that the statements of Saadani are a reaction to the files that were evoked against the man years ago by the system?

It is Foolish to believe that he did so for personal purposes. It is unreasonable that the statements of the Secretary of a political party are personal statements; they came in an orderly context and are not arbitrary. He defends those who are trying to maintain the authority of corruption, as he has defended Chakib Khelil , the matter is very clear , but if it is personal, it means that he anticipates his files that are under consideration, and in any case between the party that he stands with, and certainly he is not standing with Algeria, but with the right to intervene in its internal affairs. Foreign investigators have been allowed to access to Algeria for investigation into some files, such as Tiguentourine terrorist attack and the Tibhirine Monks case. This is totally unacceptable.

Are there potential dangers with the stamp of direct threat of the situation in Algeria?

There are real dangers that may be a prelude to chaos and Somaliazation, Algeria is a big country for us Algerians, we can be a strong state, but the other powers think that the country is largest then us, we are in a global totalitarian order that seeks to dominate the states and take advantage of their wealth. Algeria is in the heart of this targeted nations, there is no secret that there are local systems that contribute to this system to be a part of it, even if it was done at the expense of peoples and nations.
