Revision of electoral rolls starts Sunday, Interior Ministry says

Algiers-Revision of the electoral registers will begin Sunday and will last 10 days, the Interior Ministry says.

“The revision of electoral rolls will be carried out from 12 to 21 February,” Director General of Public Liberties and Legal Affairs at the Interior Ministry Mohamed Talbi said during a television program devoted to the upcoming legislative elections.

The operation is meant for those who have never registered, those who will reach 18 years by 10 May, as well as those who have changed their place of residence, he said, adding that the revision will be supervised by the municipal administrative commission, chaired by a magistrate and comprising the president of the people’s municipal assembly (APC), the secretary general of the commune and two citizens chosen by the magistrate.
