Russia Plans To Supply Algeria With Fighter Jets, Helicopters
Moscow plans to discuss the supply of air equipment and helicopters to Algeria and Egypt during the International Aeronautics and Space Expo (MAX 2017), the Russian Federal Military & Technical Cooperation Agency said.
Dmitri Shujayev, director of the Russian Federal Military and Technical Cooperation, said in a press statement, according to “Russia Today”, that the body plans to hold talks with Egyptian partners on supply helicopters that are deployed for the helicopter carrier “Mistral” in Egypt.
“Talks were planned with Algerian and Turkish partners on the issue of aircraft supply and air defense systems to Algeria and Turkey”, Shujayev added.
“Talks with Algeria in this regard are taking place for the first time”.
Russian city of Zhukovsky, which is located on the outskirts of the capital Moscow, will host the “Max 2017” International Aeronautics and Space Exhibition, which opened on Tuesday and will continue until July 23.
