Saâdane to Echorouk: “The venue of the Greens' next training camp remains in abeyance and I'll decide on the Faradj case after the Rwanda / Algeria qualifier”.

In a statement to the newspaper “Echorouk”, national coach Rabah Saâdane has described as most positive his recent European tour aimed at finding an appropriate sporting site for the next training camp of the Algeria football squad in expectation of the upcoming qualifiers of the 2010 combined World cup and Africa cup of nations competition.  

• Saâdane said that he had visited, together with one of his close collaborators, several sporting sites endowed with all the necessary amenities in southern France and in Spain.

•  *”I will meet with Raouraoua shortly to decide on the venue of the Greens’ training camp in Europe”.

• The national coach asserted that he had first to consult the chairman of the Algerian football federation –FAF- Mohamed Raouraoua to whom he will submit this week an exhaustive report on the findings of his European prospective tour in a bid to ease the decision – making on the matter.

•  *”We did not travel to Italy as past of our European tour”.

• Rabah Saâdane also affirmed that he had not traveled to Italy as such a visit was not scheduled.

• He and his assistants visited, instead, sporting facilities in Toulon and Marseille in southern France and in the Spanish city of Barcelona in their quest for an ideal spot for the Fennecs’ planned training camp to prepare in the best conditions for the forthcoming decisive qualifying game versus the strong national team of Egypt.

•  *”Santander player Mehdi Lahcen is not on the roster of the national coach”.

• Rabah Saâdane further firmly denied any phone contact as reported in the press with the Algerian player of the Santander squad Mehdi Lahcen stressing the latter was not at all on his roster as far as the Algeria line-up is concerned.

•  *”I plan to oversee once again midfielder Faradj after the Rwanda/Algeria qualifier”.

• According to the national coach, Brest’s Algerian midfielder Ibrahim Faradj deserves a new chance to prove his footballing potentialities.

•  Saâdane said that he would supervise Faradj again in a new match with his team of Brest in order to have a clearer idea on this player in the wake of the upcoming qualifier between Rwanda and Algeria slated for March 28th 2009.

•  *”Nedjma” concludes a sponsoring contract in favour of the national football squad and the Algeria cup competition.

• Reliable sources told “Echorouk” that the mobile telephony operator “Nedjma” is to initial today at the FAF premises in upper Algiers, a sponsoring contract for the benefit of the Algeria football team and the Algeria cup contest for the period 2009/2010.

• According to the same sources, this sponsoring deal is estimated at over 20 million dinars.
