In response to journalists’ questions, the Minister of Foreign Affairs confirmed that “there is no statement from a foreign official that could offend Algeria in any way”.
“Algeria is a strong country with a great history of struggle against colonialism and has a strong army and a strong administration. and does not fear challenges. This does not mean reducing the size of the challenges, but we should not fear them”.
In the same context, the minister explained that “Algeria has borders with seven countries, and it is a country that calls for peace and works to bring peace to its neighbourhood and to resolve all existing disputes, whether in Libya or Mali”.
“Algeria is following the elections in Niger as it is following the situation in Western Sahara, Mauritania and the Mediterranean”.
