Saidal accuses Ministry of Health of obstructing production of anti-swine flu vaccine
The Ministry of Health, Population and Hospitals Reform, refused to sign the contract for buying 2 million anti-swine flu vaccine boxes, thus baffling the national company for manufacturing pharmaceutical products. As a result, the company “Saidal†decided to stop its production and forget about the order n° 00908 of last May 6th 2009 issued to this effect by the hospitals’ central pharmacy.

Reliable and familiar sources with the file told Echorouk that there is disagreement between the Ministry of Health and the group SAIDAL about the process of launching the production of the anti-swine flu vaccine.

Saidal has been waiting, for 24 days of the agreement to produce the anti-swine flu vaccine, for the signing of the contract with the Ministry of Health about buying 2 million boxes to be divided into three sections: 500.000 boxes of 75 mg “Oseltamivir” for the price of 886 dinars, 500.000 boxes of 30 mg for 354 dinars, and one million boxes type 45 mg for 921 dinars. Thus the value of the deal, available to Echorouk, reaches one billion and 152 million and 450.000 dinars.

Our sources said Saidal did not complete the procedures to import the raw material from India, because it fears the Ministry of Health will not pay for the financial value of the order.
