Security plan to protect Posts, mosques and markets during Eid al Fitr

Services of the national gendarmerie planned, during the last week of Ramadan, a security blueprint for securing posts, and daily and weekly markets that citizens visit to buy clothes and accessories of Eid al-Fitr, as well as mosques where they perform the Eid prayer.

Commander of the Regional Group of the National Gendarmerie in Blida, Lieutenant Colonel Mahfoud Bousekka, said Sunday, that strict measures have been taken during the last week of Ramadan, especially at the level of posts and shops and markets, that are located at the level of the territory of wilaya, where citizens go of all sides to buy clothes and accessories of Eid al-Fitr.

“All units and teams were recruited to monitor post offices in order to avoid exposure of citizens to attacks and robberies by criminal groups that exploit such appropriate period to carry out crimes”.

On the other hand, since the beginning of Ramadan, services of the gendarmerie of Blida, western Algeria, noticed as reported by the commander of the Regional Group of the National Gendarmerie, Mahfoud Bousekka,  more than 450 family disputes, for several reasons, such as fights between children and disputes over land, extortion and farmland infringement and theft of agricultural crops.

“Various units of the gendarmerie in this Wilaya, received during the same period, 1,321 requests for assistance through the green number 1,055, mostly during the day exactly before breakfast, while 831 calls were transferred to other services, which are mostly related to isolated roads, as well as 138 different calls.

“Regarding the outcome of the first six months of the current year, the gendarmerie units of Blida recorded 1,377 misdemeanor and felonies, registering a rise compared to last year, resulting in the arrest of 1,171 people, 206 of them were jailed. Gendarmerie has been able to subdue more than 51,000 people and more than 25,000 vehicles and nearly 47,000 national cards to the rounital system.
