Security Services create teams of Urgent Negotiations with Protesters
General Directorate of the National Security, created teams of urgent intervention in the 48 Wilayas of the country, with the mission of managing the protests and deal with protesters using diplomacy, without resorting to means of deterrence and repression.
In this context, Head of the security of Mostaganem (wrst of Algeria), Dean of the police, Saleh Wakf Makhlouf, said that following the instructions of the Director-General of National Security, which approved a new plan to deal with protesters and demonstrators, the teams of urgent intervention will focus on the task of dialogue and democratic functioning of the crowds, without resorting to violence, in order to ensure the restoration and maintenance of public order and the protection of public and private property, adding that the police sector noticed many changes and substantial improvements, especially those relating to conducting the protests, to the point that the police officer becomes a negotiator and security protector.
The same official said, in a meeting with journalists on the sidelines of the implementation of the raids of “a fist” to fight crime in the urban areas in Mostaganem, where a population of 768,942 inhabitants, that the forces of urgent intervention reach a hundred percent security coverage, and in the framework of the five years plan 2010 – 014 security services aim to expand security in all municipalities.
