Security Services Investigate Foreign Tourists who tried to Disseminate Christianity in Southern Algeria

Security services and the National Gendarmerie in the Southern wilayas started recently an investigation in the case of published Christianizing products written in Arabic on the back of pictures of the Algerian national team’s matches, during the World Cup of South ‭Africa, official sources told Echorouk.

Pictures read the words “God sent Christ, a missionary to the world”, and words that promotes what it calls the Scriptures and the Gospels, as these images were distributed by a number of foreign tourists who were visiting Algeria within the framework of tours through the campaign programmed to disseminate christianismin the Southern areas,targeting particularly ‭security ‭agents assigned to protect foreign tourists across the regions and areas of South‭. ‬

‬The security sources added that the security services in charge of the investigation possesses evidence confirming the existence leaders among the foreign tourists suspected of belonging to a global organization called the “World HELP”, which is a group of international associations which work in a coordinated and structured framework for the dissemination of Christianity in Africa, and based in the United States , where its center for the promotion of ideas, and this was monitored recently, through suspicion in the activity of foreign tourists, who took advantage of their presence in Algeria in the context of tourism and focus on their secret missionary work on attracting Algerian security agents.

The same sources asserted that they have testimonies of security agents who accompanied the groups of foreign tourists who came from South Africa, proving that a number of tourists with various nationalities including, British and South African, exploited the times of meeting with security men to disseminate the Christian religion using brochures which included pictures of a number of South African stadiums that hosted the World Cup, especially that ‭which hosted the Desert Warriors matches‭‭. ‬

Phrases were written in poor Arabic in the background of pictures, and include the cause of the Christ, Savior of the World and the Messenger of Peace. The pictures obtained by security services, focused on attracting the feelings of the Algeria’s youth through exploiting dramatic footage of the matches the Desert Warriors with the English team ‭and the names of cities and stadiums ‭which hosted the Algerian team’s matches during World Cup. ‬
