Security Services Investigate On The Smuggling Of Hundreds Of Cars From Installation Factories
Security services of Batna Province (eastern Algeria) opened in-depth investigations in recent days, with several owners of car showrooms against the background of suspicion of illegal dealings involving the brands of several cars produced in several industrial car installation factories which activity was suspended In the various provinces of Algeria, in the midst of the investigations with the owners and practically ended its existence during the anti-corruption campaign or what was termed as fighting gangsters, which are well-known companies and their owners are also known, as some of them are jailed, Echorouk sources said.
According to the same sources, the investigations that took place with several car showrooms’ owners against the background of information indicating that hundreds of cars were removed from factories after the direct launch of the trials of the beneficiaries of fictional loans to establish these units, to anticipate the repercussions of judicial rulings and procedures for closing their factories, and to avoid the seizure and confiscation operations that took place months ago with other factories.
Security services suspect the illegal removal and sale of these vehicles, estimated at 300 cars, and forging their documents through employees of several municipalities in many regions of the country, in exchange for commissions or concessions.
Security services initiated procedures for checking the grey cards of the cars offered for sale in the showrooms concerned with that information to ensure their legal safety in terms of documents and the way of the vehicles’ removal, which was practically terminated several months ago.
