Security Services Set Map of Organised Crime Hot Spots

Security forces have set up a wide scale plan to counter organised crime, which has hit alarming level in recent years, a security source revealed to Echorouk.

The source mentioned that the commandments of National Gendarmerie and the Army, as well as the National Security Department and Customs have been enduring their majors and officers to recurrent trainings, in accordance with bilateral partnership conventions sealed with some Western countries who enjoy long experience in the domain of organized crime fight.

The source added that, for instance, the National Gendarmerie’s Institute for Criminology and Genetic Evidences has been reinforced with modern devices, to boost its efforts in terms of combating organised crime. 

Meanwhile, the aforementioned security services have set up new maps on organised crime spots, which are subject to recurrent update, depending on the increase or decrease of this scourge that is representing “the new challenge” to security services after successfully countered terrorism. 

The source said the joint security services have been reinforcing presence on the eastern and western borders of the North African country, given that security reports concluded that borders are set to be transit spot to different trafficking networks, including narcotic traffickers, car traffickers, arm traffickers, human traffickers.
