Sellal: the State will not abandon Kabylia
Algerian Prime Minister said the government commits to achieve development and step up security measures in the province of Tizi Ouzou (150 km east of Algiers) to ensure the safety of residents and their properties.
This came as Tizi Ouzou’s prefect Hussein Haroune criticized the government for neglecting the province.
In a meeting with Sellal, Haroune said Tizi Ouzou has been boycotted by senior officials in the State for many years.
“President Bouteflika and former Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia did not visit the province in electoral campaigns.”
He said the president paid 13 visits to the province of Setif (east of Algiers) and additional money was allocated to it while he did not pay any working visit to Tizi Ouzou.
He called on the Prime Minister to announce his development plan and called it “Sellal’s plan.”
The Prime Minister hailed Tizi Ouzou for exam results in every year and considered it as scientific competences and human resources storing house. “The best investment is mind and scientific competences investment. Safety and stability are important for development,” he said.
