SIM cards identification process can’t be solved in 2 or 3 months
The number of unidentified SIM cards in Algeria is estimated at 5 million.
Postal and telecommunications authority’ council decided to establish a new body, as a committee, composed of the ministry of interior, commerce and the three cell phones’ operators in addition to policing authority, whose task is to find a solution to the problem of mobile phone unknown customers, after is failed to impose deadlines for changing their status.

Well- informed sources told Echorouk that the new director of the policing council authority Derdouri has moved personally last week to the mobile dealers’ headquarters to see the real status.

Unidentified customers are currently estimated at about five million peoples, which made it impossible to resolve this problem quickly.

If it is necessary to determine responsibility in this process, all cell phones dealers and policing authority are responsible, in addition to the ministry of trade and security who did not control the spread of customers’ numbers.

In order to solve this problem the idea of creating a body of experts emerged, to find a real solution after it had been discovered that five million unidentified lines is a big figure economically, which caused anarchy, although this process can not be solved in two or three months.
