Sonatrach Committed to Resume Activity in Libya

Sonatrach hydrocarbons group announced on Thurdsya that is committed to resume activities in Libya “as soon as the situation returns to the normal there.”

 

Sonatrach’s CEO Noureddine Cherouati told reporters at the sidelines of the sealing of an agreement to develop an oil plant, that the group’s investments in Libya are maintained, adding that “We have contract with Libya National Oil Corporation, and we are committed to respect it.”

It is worth to mention that Sontarcah grabed in May 2010 its second exploration contract in partnership with the Libyan group, in the locality of Ghdames near border with Algeria, noting that the first exploration operation was undertaken in March 2005.
