Sonatrach scandal: Arrested in the case released

Investigative judge of the ninth room of the penal pole in Algiers Sidi M’hamed court on the week end, a decision to release the detained suspects in the case of “SONATRACH2”, who are “N.M” manager of studies office, and “R.CH” former Vice General Manager, after serving more than 20 months in provisional detention, pending investigation with them in the case that started as a basis against Energhy Minister, Chakib Khalil, Farid Bedjaoui and Reda Hameche.
Decision to release “M.N” and “R. CH” by the investigating judge, is the only legal solution in the case, as the legal period of pre-trial detention ended, and extending the period, which is guaranteed by law the investigating judge, and indictment as well. I
In this context, lawyer at the Supreme Court Chayeb SadeK, said that the release decision for the accused was with the force of law in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Penal Procedure, because all ways to extend prison period were exhausted, as previously the examining magistrate already extended the detention once the issue has been adapted on the basis of a crime through the addition of the felony of organizing a criminal gang.
