Success rate at Baccalureate exam reaches 38.45 percent in Algeria

Success rate in the Baccalaureate exam is estimated at 45.38 percent equal to 257,000 successful candidates, a field study finds.

Languages option candidates come first with 53.14 percent followed by arts and philosophy option with 49.80 percent, management and economics option with 45.98 percent and sciences option candidates with 38.69 percent.

The study was conducted by the Union of High School Teachers’ Council in Algiers on 5,000 corrected copies in: Arabic, French, English languages, natural sciences, physical sciences, history and geography, Islamic sciences, electric and electronic engineering and civil engineering.

Success rate in Arabic language subject for sciences option is estimated at 55 percent compared to 54 percent for candidates in mathematics option and 50 percent for candidates in management and economics option.

As for mathematics subject, success rate reached 27 percent for sciences option, 30 percent for mathematics option and 19 percent for management and economics option.

Success rate in physical sciences is estimated at 35 percent for sciences option and 32 percent for mathematics option.

In economics and law, the highest success rate reached 75 percent compared to 60 percent in law option.

As for arts, success rate in Arabic language subject is estimated at 60 percent for languages option compared to 64 percent for arts and philosophy option.

Success rate in philosophy reached 68 percent for languages option and 70 percent for arts and philosophy option.

As for history and geography, success rate reached 60 percent for languages option and 38 percent for arts and philosophy option.

In Islamic sciences, success rate is estimated at 70 percent.
