Taher Khaoua: Belait wants to get revenge from Bouteflia’s “men”

President of the FLN’s parliamentary bloc at the National Liberation Front (FLN) Taher Khaoua accused political office coordinator of the party Abderrahmane Belait of getting revenge from deputies for their support to the president of the republic.

Khaoua threatened to sue Belait so that he would be examined by a psychologist to detect his “dementia.”

“The political office coordinator of the party Abderrahmane Belait conducts wrongdoings as he is pushed by the political office members Abdelhamid Si Afif and Abdelkader Mechbek to get revenge from the men of the president of the republic in Parliament,” Khaoua told Echorouk on Tuesday on the phone.

“They want to appoint certain deputies at the party’s structures at the People’s National Assembly. Belait’s cousin who has a driving school was appointed as deputy speaker and Si Afif appointed a number of people who support him,” he added.

He believes that Si Afif wants to reach the FLN’s general secretary position at any price.

Khaoua also said this step is meant to hinder the legal projects of the president of the republic including the constitutional amendement.

“Six members of the FLN’s political office signed a request to dismiss Belait from the office,” said Khaoua.

He threatened to fill a lawsuit against Belait to oblige him to go to a psychologist to check his “mental health.”
