Taher Khawa: “Belaiat implemented an agenda against Bouteflika”
MP Taher Khawa, who is sticking to be head of FLN’s Parliamentary Bloc, accused the coordinator of the party Abderrahman Belaiat of working for the benefit of an agenda which is opposing the president Abdelaziz Bouteflika, threatening to resort to justice to annul the decisions of the latter, while Belaiat described Khawa’s statements as a desperate attempt, and accused him of laughing on the Parliament conduct or collusion with it.
Dispute intensified between the brothers, “enemies” in the National Liberation Front, after the parliament issued a certificate holding the signature of the Secretary-General of the Council, which proves that FLN Mp Taher Khawa continues his task as President of the Party’s Parliamentary Group, and that since October 18, 2012.
“Leading the Parliamentary Group is a political position and one of the powers of the Secretary-General only, in accordance with Article 42 of the party’s Basic Law. Position of coordinator of the party is stipulated in the laws of the party, and Belaiat is not the oldest in the party, because the member of the Central Committee Leila Kheira Tayeb is one year older than him. Exaggeration in the procedures of installation of structures, pushed as members of the central Committee to resort to the justice, and appeal in the installation procedures, and we will rely on the spirit of the provisions of the party”;
FLN coordinator thinks that the Basic Law granted him a character of coordinator, adding that Khawa is no longer president of the bloc, but Amhamed Labyad with the recognition of the Council”, describing his reaction, as being just chaotic dilemmas, and also the law is impossible to be in his favor, and all of members of the Central Committee who collected signatures are not more than 50 people, asserting that these actions are reasons for the failure of holding this body.
