The Polisario Front is convinced that armed action will make a difference in its legitimate struggle against the Moroccan occupiers after transgressing the Ceasefire Agreement in force since 1991 in the isolated area of El Guerguerat on 13 November,” His Excellency the Ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) in Algeria stated on Monday, indicating that “the responsibility for the deterioration of the situation lies with the United Nations”.

The guest of the morning program on Channel 1 of the national radio said that “the Polisario Front realizes today, after a long wait, that armed action is the only means that can move the standing waters in the shadow of Morocco’s blatant disregard for legitimate international resolutions.

In the same vein, Mr. Omar Taleb stated that “the Polisario Front has warned the United Nations about the Moroccan intentions following the wanton aggression in El-Guerguaret”, considering that “from now on we are at war with the occupiers and the bombing of Moroccan military positions will continue”.
“The Saharawi people are fully determined to wage war and make sacrifices to defend their cause,” he stressed.

The Sahrawi ambassador believes that the Moroccan aggression came after Rabat wrongly surmised that the international community and the major powers had recognized its occupation of Western Sahara and that it was no longer bound by anything, and that from there it was persisting in imposing a de-facto policy, stressing that Morocco is relying on Paris, which obstructs Security Council decisions, as well as the European Union resolutions.

The latter also dragged some Francophone countries in the African Union into opening consulates in occupied Sahrawi cities.
