Tamanrasset blast : 7 suspects arrested

Algerian security forces have arrested 7 people suspected of co-plotting a blast that had targeted a Gendarmerie brigade in southern town of Tamanrasset.

The terrorist attack had injured 23 last March most of them Gendarmerie members. Among the seven suspects are customs officers and an Algerian-Malian Targui suspected of providing assistance to terrorists. The blast had been claimed by a new terrorist group in West Africa called the MUJAO.
