Terrorism : « Tizi Ouzou suicide bomber reportedly a man in his sixties », Security sources say
“Echorouk” has learnt from local security sources that the suicide bomber who rammed his booby-trapped vehicle earlier this week into a Tizi Ouzou police station is firmly supposed to be a man in his sixties.
- During its investigations on the spot in the aftermath of the bombing which left 33 wounded including policemen on duty and a number of civilians, the scientific police discovered the torn remains of the suicide bomber’s body including his head.
- According to his features, the suicide-bomber was seemingly an elderly man over 60 years’ old and believed to belong to the remnants of « En Nour » terrorist battalion which is still active in the eastern Kabylia region.
- The vehicle used in the criminal bombing was reportedly stolen by a group of GSPC terrorists from a local resident at a fake check-point the night before the attack on the road linking Tizi Ouzou and the town of Beni Douala.
