Q: Is that true that you have resumed training with your club?
-
-
A: Indeed, I have decided to resume training with the group after noticing that the situation in Cairo is returning to normalcy; Moreover, I couldn’t turn my back to the fans that asked me to continue playing to the club. Their gesture uplifted my spirit and I promise to do my best to express my gratitude for them.

-
Q: Did you decide by yourself to resume training or was it the managers’ request?
-
-
A: I grew fed up staying at home and when the fans asked me to get back at earliest, I decided to resume training after discussions with my managers, who were happy with the fans attitude. That was a strong signal that means nobody will harm me in the wake of the last events that occurred in Sudan.

-
Q: But do you guarantee that fans other than Al Ahly’s will not try to attack for being Algerian?
-
-
A: I’m sure that Al Ahly fans will assure my security, and this is quit frustrating, but anyway I hope things will get better in the nearest future because this crisis is harmful for the two people. I’m sincerely looking forward for the stopping of this conflict because after all we are Arabs and Muslims and have to be united to give a another image for the western world.

-
Q: during your “seclusion” were you in contact with your managers and club mates?
-
-
A: Of course, I was especially with my friend Abu Trika who was in touch with me on daily basis to stand by me, when I was staying at home, everybody was aware that the confrontation between the Greens and the Pharaos was only a match and the relationship between the two countries was bigger than that.

-
Q: You have received an offer from a Belgian club during that period what hampered the negotiations?
-
-
A: I don’t really know what happened between the two clubs, but what matters for me right now is to recover my form at earliest and get back to competition then we can talk about the future. Just to tell you that the Belgian offer was not the only one and I have received many others from European clubs but I will not disclose their names now.
-
-
Q: How long did you stay at home?
-
-
A: I didn’t quit my house since the return match between Algeria and Egypt until yesterday; fortunately I’m not alone at home since I have my brother with me and sometimes I spend some time with one of my friends at the Olympic village.

-
Q: is it true that your mother asked you to stop your career and get back to Algeria?
-
A: I didn’t lose contact with my family all this time and I was calling them on daily basis to reassure them. Actually, my mothers wished my come back at earliest and play to another club or give up my career, but I convinced her that I was in a safe place , though some of my neighbors were aware that I was Algerian they didn’t try to hurt me.
