The Algerians Utterly Reject Any Normalization With “Israel”

In the Arab Index poll for the year 2019/2020, all the Algerian respondents refused to establish any relationship with the Zionist entity, whether in the form of normalization, a peace treaty, or recognition of it as a state.

The result was 0% on the opinion of Algerians about Algeria’s recognition of “Israel,” which was confirmed by President Tebboune in a recent press interview saying that the Palestine issue for Algeria is a sacred one, and firmly denounced the “scramble” towards normalization.

The result came in the Arab Index survey for the year 2019/2020, which was conducted by the “Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies” in Doha, in 13 Arab countries, and included 28,000 people.

According to the poll results announced by Muhammad al-Masri, director of the Opinion Polls Unit at the Arab Center, at a press conference in the Qatari capital, Doha, 88 percent of Arab respondents refused normalization with Israel, establish any political relationship with it, sign a peace treaty, or recognize it as a state in exchange for 6 percent who agree on normalization.

79 percent expressed their opinion that the Palestinian issue is the issue of all Arabs over the years and that it is the core issue for the Arabs, compared to 15 percent who consider it an issue for the Palestinians alone and they must work to solve it.

According to the poll’s outcome, the most important reasons for rejection are the fact that the Israeli occupation is a terrorist colonial state, and it is a racist state and represents a threat to all Arab countries and arbitrarily dispersed the oppressed Palestinian people.
