The baccalaureate's date has been fixed: minister says
The Algerian education minister Abu Bakr Ben Bouzid declared to “Echorouk†that this year’s baccalaureate is slated for June 20, denying thus, information reported on some newspapers about an eventual delay. His department has fixed the date of May 15 as the last day at school, he added.

Preparations for the baccalaureate exam obey to a series of processes according to a strict chronological order, starting from the codifying of the exam papers until the corrections of the exams over period of 20 days then the announcing of the results in July.

This step is followed by two others dealing with registrations that stretch till August 10 before moving to the preparations for the next academic year in the beginning of September.

The minister added that the selected date as being the deadline for the current academic year was dully chosen and teachers will have enough time to finish their program on due time.
