The French Foreign Ministry warns its nationals from roaming in the Algerian streets after the match Algeria vs. Egypt
The French Foreign Ministry warned its nationals traveling to Algeria from roaming in the streets of the Algerian cities on Saturday 14th November, following the match between Algeria and Egypt, as they would be crowded.

This warning in the memorandum of traveling of the French who are intending to travel to Algiers, listing the series of risks they would find in Algeria, asking them to stay at hotels after the match between Algeria and Egypt.

The warning bulletin expected crowds in the Algerian streets on November 14, that’s why it asked the French visitors to stay in protected environment.

Despite the decline of the terrorism inside the Algerian cities thanks to the tight security plan, the ministry advised its nationals to be careful and watch out the riots which would break out as well, saying; “In addition to terrorism these cities noticed urban confrontations in some popular districts, particularly on October 19 and 20 in Algiers, and during the last week end in Oran”, that’s why it recommended the French to avoid appearing frequently and choose the unpopular neighborhoods.

The memorandum of the French Foreign Ministry noted the resurgence of the terrorist attacks, particularly against the security forces since the beginning of spring in Medea, west of Algiers, Biskra, east of Algeria , and Boumerdes, east of Algiers, arguing that these are the renewal of the threats by the GSPC also AQIM, which may carry out terrorist attacks in Algeria, particularly in the Kabilian region and some north eastern localities, and therefore recommended the highest degree of caution when moving in these areas, even if the person is accompanied by security men.

On the occasion of the opening of the season of tourism in the Sahara end of October, the French Foreign Ministry said; “In light of the growing danger of kidnappings in the Sahel regions, we must advise the French tourists who intend to visit the Algerian desert, to respect the security regulations by the Algerian authorities in order to ensure their safety, and be keen to use the accredited tourist agencies and avoid taking the risk through going out of the groups and commit to the instruction of the security services”.
