The Government to Grant 8000 DZD Monthly to Unemployed Youngsters

The government considers on Monday to increase up to 8000 DZD the monthly allowance granted to unemployed people who are part of the social integration activities, pertaining to the Ministry of National Solidarity.

The government discusses a proposal to expand the group age of unemployed people taking advantage of the allowance, up to 45 year old, rather than 40. 

The social integration activities are temporary jobs granted for unemployed people, as part of the government social policy aiming at combating poverty and taking charge of youngsters who stopped going to school. 

Unemployed youngsters are offered temporary jobs of public interest in the sectors of agriculture, traditional crafts, services and tourism, the protection of environment, in adition to assistance to elders and handicaps, and so on.

The selected candidates to join the social integration activities would enjoy a set of advantages, including social security in case of pregnancy, illness, vacation and work related accidents; the government is yet to consider reviewing conditions that should be met to get advantage of this activity, including the living condition of the youngster, who should be unemployed having no other source of living, and to be aged between 18 and 45.
