The National Gendarmerie adopts a new plan to secure Eid in Algeria
The national gendarmerie adopts a special plan in anticipation of Eid al-Fitr, in order to ensure the security and comfort of citizens and to thwart any criminal act or terrorist attack, which might seek to spoil the joy of the Eid.
According to the President of cell communication at the National Gendarmerie Lt. Col. Abdelhamid Keroud, the National Gendarmerie will proceed in the implementation of a plan, based on reviewing the spread of agents and the distribution of security forces, especially to secure mosques and tombs, as well as the markets in which large numbers of by people, and bus stations as well.
The National Gendarmerie also focused on the deployment of a number of agents in civilian clothes at sensitive sites and public places, including bus stops and markets that define a high demand of the citizens in Ramadan, and that in parallel programming constant patrols along the corridors and routes that are frequently used, and set barriers and security checkpoints to control the entrances of major citities.
Services of the national gendarmerie intensified security in train stations frequented by a large number of citizens.
