The Prime Minister Orders The Evacuation Of Algerians Stranded Abroad
The Prime Minister, Abdelaziz Djerad, instructed the ministers concerned to initiate the evacuation of Algerians stranded abroad following the suspension of flights and ships during March 2020, as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, a statement of the Prime Ministry said here on Friday.
“In compliance with the directives of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Teboune, the Prime Minister, Abdelaziz Djerad, issued an instruction to the Foreign Minister, the Interior Minister and the Public Works and Transport Minister, to compel them to initiate the process of evacuating our citizens travelling abroad, and who are stranded as a result of the suspension of flights and sea trips during March 2020, due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic”.
In this context, the same statement adds, the citizens concerned with the evacuation process, who have tickets to return to Algeria, are invited to register in the following internet websites: www.pm.gov.dz – www.mae.gov.dz – www. interieur.gov.dz ”in the evacuation section for citizens stranded abroad, by providing all the information required to count and contact them.
On the other hand, regarding extending the registration date for the Hajj seasons 2020-2021, the statement of the Prime Minister’s services explained that the date of registration on the aforementioned sites was set on Thursday, April 23, 2020, as the deadline, which will then allow the mobilization of the air and sea fleet is necessary to materialize the important evacuation process.
The same statement also indicated that the citizens who will be evacuated will be subject to preventive measures for quarantine at the level of structures counted for this purpose, where their medical follow-up will be guaranteed.
