– In Sudan we do not call you Algerian, we call you the country of one and a half million martyrs, as we consider you the closest to our hearts, because we always have tight political, cultural and sport ties both in the past and present.

– I think that the majority of the Sudanese will stand by the Algerians in view of the good ties between the two countries; however, on the other hand some Sudanese will support the Egyptian squad.

Do you think that the sensitivity between the Egyptians and Sudanese is reason why the Sudanese will support the Algerians on Wednesday?

– Egypt chose Sudan to host the match has nothing to do with the number of supporters. I think that Egyptians chose Sudan because of the geographical distance between the two countries, and may be to prevent the presence of large number of Algerian supporters in Khartoum, as well as the possibility that the Algerians will be affected by the temperature which would exceed 25°.
